Rep. Nordberg Receives 2014 “Taxpayer Champion” Award from
the Colorado Union of Taxpayers
Representative Dan Nordberg has been honored as one of seven Members in the Colorado General Assembly to be recognized as a “Taxpayer Champion” by the Colorado Union of Taxpayers. The “Taxpayer Champion” award is presented to Legislators who display a commitment to fiscal responsibility and free market reforms.
“With our country in over 17 trillion dollars in debt, it’s clear that government at every level is spending too much, but some in Denver think we need more spending, more taxes, and more government. I don’t subscribe to that notion and will continue to be an advocate for less spending, regulatory reform, and free enterprise solutions. The only way for effective government to serve “We the People” is to cut spending and return surpluses to the taxpayer…it’s your money, not the government’s,” Nordberg said.
Founded in 1976, the Colorado Union of Taxpayers (CUT) is Colorado’s longest-serving advocacy group for taxpayers. Their ratings are based on analysis of several votes which scrutinize spending, taxes, fees, and growth of government.
